After a long time, Aamir Khan’s film bombed at the Box Office. The actor’s epic drama ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, starring Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles, is the biggest BO disasters that the Hindi film industry has seen in the recent past. The film grossed a little over Rs 143 crore in its 10-day run disappointing the trade pundits and the exhibitors alike.
The producers and the film’s exhibitors incurred unheard of losses. But surprisingly, the sub-distributors of the movie, Yash Raj Films, are the only ones at profit as they had distributed the film on a commission basis and on a Minimum Guarantee Deal. According to reports, the exhibitors are said to have lost over 50 per cent of their investments.
