Love sonia is the most happening film in recent times. It is appreciated that Bollywood is also delivering social contents like Love sonia as well. The film is all about the troublesome journey of two innocent sisters where one of the sister is sold away by their father to a landlord for money and the other sister follows after her sister with the hope of rescuing her.

STORY : The story starts of from a drought prone village in India, A farmer (Adil Hussain) with debths all around in his village who is struggling in poverty. Despite being poor his daughters Sonia and Preeti are the teen sister who choose to be happy always. But their happy spirits are thrown into the black shadows because of their father’s decision to sell off Preeti to a local landlord for money. But the strong and hopeful Sonia sets off to look for her missing sister and her search drags Sonia to Mumbai’s dark world of sex trade and traps herself in prostitution. A film of these kinds which tend to tell a issue in a real manner and the casting of the film plays a crucial role even its also the performances of the actors which bring every incident live. The Debutante actress Mrunal Thakur essays the lead character as Sonia with conviction. Richa Chadha is seen in a significant role and proves her mettle as an actress once again. The other versatile actor Rajkummar Rao shines in his crucial cameo and Freida Pinto plays her semi-delusional character well. More ever Demi Moore, Mark Duplass, Manoj Bajpayee, Riya Sisodiya, Anupam Kher, Adil Hussain, Sai Tamhankar, Sunny Pawar were all par excellent in portraying their roles and every artist has done justice to their parts.

Director Tabrez Noorani’s unnerving execution almost strangles the audience. While various films have touched upon this issue but Noorani makes you to take a closer look at reality which is hard to understand and believe. And the music for Love Sonia is given by Niels Bye Nielsen & A. R. Rahman which was very intriguing and engaging with the content. As even Lukasz Bielan thecinematographer takes credits for the terrific visuals and the editing work by Martin Singer is one of the top notch element in the film.

BOTTOM LINE: Love Sonia is a must watch film and also an important movie that’s told sincerely but it just lacks only the emotional depth in a strong human drama.
