Pandiraj a well known filmmaker in kollywood frequently.
The ambitious filmmaker is always passionate about film making. He started of his career from the stage of working as an office boy under the director K. Bhagya raj. And was writing many small stories in Tamil bhagya. Later after several hurdles he got to work as an assistant director under the director Thangar bachan.
Pandiraj became an independent filmmaker in 2009 with the film pasanga as the film was bankrolled by M.sasi kumar. Pandiraj has shot this film in school vacations and weekends due to lack of enough budget. But the film stood has a strong hit at the box-office. Pandiraj won the national award for his debut film pasanga. From then the maker was continuously making successful films and he is always interested to direct newcomers and young talented actors.
The veteran filmmaker has started his own production house in 2012 and made his own film Marina as his first production which stood as a decent hit at the box-office. Moreover, pandiraj is now continuously producing and distributing many tamil films regularly.
Even pandiraj is one of the EC member of the producers council in kollywood and the predominant filmmaker was offered with many acting opportunities but the filmmaker truly never want to act in films, so he rejected all the offers unlike many others.
Pandiraj has also spoke on digital film making which is making indian cinema evolve. The maker states that digital film making is providing everyone an opportunity to make films of their own and it is leading to deterioration most of the time but sometimes it seems to be exploring film making. Actually film making is a deep process which includes lots of knowledge and experiences to make a proper film but some people who don’t have proper knowledge and technical stuff are also making films and facing failures with criticisms, on the other side some aspiring young short filmmakers are also delivering some path breaking contents which is very surprising and impressive to watch anywhere’s this happens in rare cases.
