The Telugu version of Vijay’s controversial film ‘Sarkar’ is on its way to become a hit even as the movie’s worldwide gross crossed Rs 150 crores in just four days. According to movie analysts, in all probability will storm into the Rs 200 crore club, even without the Telugu version’s contribution. In Vijay’s career in Tamil film industry, ‘Sarkar’ is the third Rs 150 crore film. The previous two films were ‘Mersal’ and ‘Theri’. On Friday alone, in Chennai city, ‘Sarkar’ grossed Rs 1.36 crore. In all the four days, gross revenues from Chennai city alone stood at Rs 7.33 crore. The film is likely to gross over Rs 10 crore from the city alone. In the United States of America, ‘Sarkar’ grossed $650 K and that is more than that of ‘Kaththi’.
