It has become a habit for political stooges and persons indulging in moral policing to slam film actors for smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol on screen. Tamil actor Vijay was a victim of such slamming when a cigarette dangled from his hand in one of the posters of his recent hit ‘Sarkar’. Former union health minister Dr Anbumani Ramadoss slammed Vijay’s act as ‘shameful’. Dr Ramadoss regularly takes a dig at Rajini, Vijay and other heroes for glorifying alcohol and smoking on screen.
This time, Dr Anbumani Ramadoss’s father and PMK party leader Dr S. Ramadoss slammed the first look poster of Vishal’s latest movie titled ‘Ayogya’ that released recently. In the poster, Vishal is seen leaning on to a police jeep and holding a beer bottle in his left hand. Slamming this, Dr S Ramadoss tweeted: “The promo posters of Vishal film ‘Ayogya’ featuring him with beer bottles should be removed immediately. What’s Vishal trying to imply through this poster? Being the secretary of Nadigar Sangam, I expect some kind of social responsibility from him.”
‘Ayogya’ is a remake of Telugu hit film ‘Temper’ of NTR Jr. It is directed by Venkat Mohan. Vishal essays the role of a ruthless police officer. Raashi Khanna is the heroine.
