‘Jayam’ Raja is back after a three year hiatus. His last release ‘Velayutham’ was a flop show at Box-office and he is keen to bounce back with ‘Thanioruvan’. Hip Hop Aadhi has scored his music and his early two movies ‘Aambala’ and ‘Indru Netru Naalai’ were chartbusters. Has he delivered a hat-trick? Let’s see.

1. Thani Oruvan

Singers:  Bobo Shashi
Lyrics:  Hip Hop Tamizha

The song kicks off with piano sounds, followed by orchestra, and then enters with lyrics by Hiphop Thamizha. Then the track gathers momentum at the rendition of the title.  There are high chances you may get a feel that the tune is monotonous.

2. Kannala Kannala

Singers: Kaushik Krish, Padmalatha
Lyrics: Hip Hop Tamizha

This particular track begins with an Indian flavour. Padmalatha’s sweet voice follows it and then the Momentum rises up and catches the orchestra syncs and elevates the mood. The composer’s arrangements are also pleasant with perfect flute sections in the interlude part and the tune finally ends with the lead singers.

3. Kadhal Cricket

Singers: Kharesma Ravichandran
Lyrics: Hip Hop Tamizha

Kharesma Ravichandran’s offbeat vocals complements the song in an enjoyable manner and lyrics by Hip Hop Tamizha will surely bring chuckles to listener’s face. A sparkling fun track.

4. Theemai Dhaan Vellum

Singers: Arvind Swamy, Hip Hop Tamizha
Lyrics: Hip Hop Tamizha

The background score is highly repetitive throughout the entire song. Aravind Swamy’s dialogues blend along with Hip Hop Aadhi’s music and the lyrics deserve all appreciation. But during the first half, the sound is higher than the vocals which lets the track a little bit down.

5. Aasai Peraasai

Singers: Jayam Ravi
Lyrics: M Raja

This song may be the return of the protagonist. exhilarating sounds by the composer. This one scores better than Aravind Swamy’s version mostly due to Hip Hop Tamizha’s racy score.

Overall, Hip Hop Tamizha consolidates his position in Kollywood by scoring a Hat-trick with ‘Thanioruvan’.
