‘Taxiwaala’ sensation Malavika Nair recently shifted her base from Kochi in Kerala to Hyderabad with an intention to pursue higher studies and still act in Telugu films. She recently joined St. Francis College in Begumpet area of Hyderabad for her under-graduation studies in History, English literature and political science as her main subjects.
The 22-year-old Malavika, who was born in Delhi, is regularly attends classes at St. Francis College. The Mallu girl feels that she may not be suitable for typical commercial mass movies. She, however, says she is game for glamour roles. In 2018, Malavika was seen in three Telugu films and they are ‘Mahanati’, ‘Vijetha’ and ‘Taxiwaala’.
Malavika so far appeared in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil language films. She started as a child artist. After appearing in minor supporting roles in several Malayalam films in 2012, she played her first lead role in the Malayalam film Black Butterfly (2013). She won critical acclaim for her performances as a blind girl in Cuckoo (2014) and as an adventurer in Yevade Subramanyam (2015).
