Trivikram Srinivas is likely to lose the tag of an intellectual director very soon. It is believed that he buckled under pressure from Allu Arjun, who showed his star power in almost making Trivikram to agree to remake the Hindi blockbuster titled ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ in Telugu. The producers are likely to make a formal announcement on this issue soon.
With this development, the writer-director is likely to send an unintended signal to entire Telugu film industry that he’s not confident of his own writing skills anymore. He is known for his immaculate writing style. But, he is now likely to take stories from other movies and or remakes. If Trivikram remakes this hit Hindi film, then there is a danger of he losing the tag of an intellectual director and could fall into the league of commercial directors who churn out movies if a top star agrees to give them dates.
In his career till date, Trivikram never made a movie based on a remake. However, he did write dialogues for some remake movies as a writer like ‘Nuvve Kavali’ and ‘Teenmaar’.
Trivikram is said to have lost his bargaining power after ‘Aravindha Sametha’ turned out to be just an average hit.
