In spite of NOTA’s failure, there is still some craze for Vijay Deverakonda and his style of movies. His crowd pulling capabilities can be gauged by the opening of the film’s dubbed version in Tamil. It proves that he has the stamina of a star. However, Vijay Deverakonda, who was on the rise till Geetha Govindam happened, got hurt with the failure of NOTA.
Vijay’s capabilities will again be tested now with the much delayed the low budget film titled Taxiwala, which the actor had actually okayed much before Arjun Reddy that made him the star. Sources claimed that the producers had deliberately delayed Taxiwala for Geetha Govindam. Later, there was buzz on the issue of going for a digital release, but the producers of Taxiwala refused to entertain Vijay’s suggestion. Now, the producers are preparing to release the movie on November 15.
According to trade experts, the period between Diwali and Mid December is a bad season for the release of new Telugu movies as there are no holidays and theaters face dull turnouts. Therefore, it would be difficult for Vijay to earn profits for his Taxiwala even though it is a low cost production.
